About Krabi Town
Krabi Town is the working heart of the province and the place where daily life goes on beside the river. From Ao Nang it is a short trip across the headland, but it feels like another world: market stalls, small cafés, temples and the Thai businesses that do not depend on tourists.
People come here to catch a bus or a van to other parts of southern Thailand, to visit the immigration office or the hospital, to shop for things the beach shops do not sell, or just to eat dinner at the night market. A private car makes this easy, and the ride back is covered by the same fixed price.
