Taxi from Krabi Airport to Phuket Airport
Phuket Airport is on the northern tip of the island, so the drive from Krabi crosses Phang Nga province and the Sarasin Bridge, but does not go through Phuket Town. A private car is useful when you have an onward flight: you leave when it suits you, not when a minibus is full. We advise leaving a good margin before an international flight.
About Phuket Airport
Phuket International Airport lies 32 km north of Phuket city, in Mai Khao. It has one runway of 3,000 m, with planes on approach passing over Mai Khao beach, and it is the third-busiest airport in Thailand after Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang. The airport has an international and a domestic terminal, and a charter terminal, and is open 24 hours a day.
Because the airport is on the northern tip of the island, the drive from Krabi does not go through Phuket Town. Guests book this transfer for an onward flight, or to start a holiday in Phuket. A private car leaves when it suits you and goes straight to the terminal that you need.
The ride
The ride is about 144 km and takes around 2 hours 10 minutes. It crosses Phang Nga province and then the bridge to Phuket island. For an international flight, we advise leaving a generous margin. Tell us your flight number and departure time and we plan the pickup.
