Taxi from Krabi Airport to Ratchaprapha Pier
Ratchaprapha Pier is the main departure point for boats on Cheow Lan Lake in Khao Sok, where you find limestone islands and floating rafthouses. The pier is quite remote, and public transport is almost non-existent. Tell us when you want to be at the pier.
About Ratchaprapha Pier
Ratchaprapha Pier lies at the Ratchaprapha Dam, which is also called Cheow Lan Dam, in Ban Ta Khun District of Surat Thani province. The dam holds back Cheow Lan Lake, where boats take visitors between limestone islands and floating rafthouses. The pier is the usual starting point for lake trips.
It is a remote place, with almost no public transport, and boat departures follow the lodge or tour you booked. That is why it is worth planning your arrival time around the boat. Trips can be a day trip from the coast or a night on the lake.
The ride
The ride is 131 km and takes about 2 hours. Your driver brings you to the pier, where your boat or lodge meets you. Tell us when you want to be at the pier.
